Thank you for joining my on my personal website and blog! Here you can find all the links to my publications and other sites/profiles. If you would like to check out my published works then check out my ORCiD or GoogleScholar pages. If you want to see more about my software projects then check out my GitHub or the Software Portfolio page of this site. I also have a blog where I post about science and technology news that I find interesting. Finally, if you would like to learn more about me and my journey to become a computational chemist/software developer/ writer then keep reading here!

My Journey

If you are here on my website then you are probably looking to know more about me. By trade I am a chemist. I earned my B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from the University of West Florida in 2019. From there I went on to earn my Ph.D. specializing in Computational Quantum Chemistry from the University of Georgia in 2025. Since completing my Ph.D., I have been working as a Postdoctoral Associate continuing my studies of computational chemistry and software development.

While working as a graduate student I fell in love with writing code and software development. My software journey started with writing Python and Julia code to evaluate simple computational chemistry problems. From there I began branching out, learning more complex languages such as C++ and tackling more complex computational problems. Since learning about the wonders of coding, I have been integrating software solutions into computational chemistry wherever I can. The prime example of this is displayed in my recent publication in the journal Molecules. In this article, I expand on an open-source Python project that generates machine learning models for molecular potential energy surfaces. These models aim to describe the potential energy of a molecule as a function of its geometry. My softare journey continues in a personal project, GeomCreate, a work-in-progress molecular visualization program written in Python.

As a graduate student and postdoc I have worked on a myriad of scientific articles and documents. While developing these skills I have culivated passion for scientific and technical writing. I am actively working on advancing my writing skills by practicing in blog posts on this site!
